Worked with Provost and faculty on curriculum development and other advisory services with emphasis on increasing competitiveness, strengthening financial outlook through improved planning and budgeting, and updating curriculum. With Head of the Accounting Department, redesigned the introductory accounting course to shift it from a traditional transaction recording course to one that prepares managers to work with standard financial information (balance sheet, income statement, cash/funds flow and notes).

Founded and Co-Chaired Evaliant (formerly Leading Web Advertisers). Quickly became a leading international provider of Internet advertising content and analytics. Evaliant used an advanced proprietary spider technology to capture, classify and report advertising content for 3,500+ web sites in the US, Canada, UK, France and China, in almost real time. Within 18 months client roster included 100+ blue chip companies including buyers (agencies and advertisers) and sellers (web site owners) of online advertising including AOL, WSJ, Doubleclick, Yahoo, CNN, Travelocity, Grey Advertising, Zenithmedia. Successfully sold Evaliant to Taylor Nelson SOFRES in 2002 (now Kantar Media/WPP).

Joined GMAI’s Board when it acquired Teletrade. GMAI offered traditional auctions for stamp collectors and dealers well as other specialist markets. Resigned in October 1999 to found Leading Web Advertisers. Teletrade is now part of Spectrum Group International (SPGZ).

Acquired two thirds of this small, money losing certified coin electronic auction company with a business partner. Rapidly assessed and changed its business model, relocated, and restructured costs. Achieved profitability in six months. Transformed its business model by expanding into sports memorabilia (autographs, sports equipment, uniforms and sports cards) and stamps. Consumer value was increased by introducing online real-time bidding and offering improved online cataloging (for example adding high quality lot imaging). Costs were reduced and marketing and promotion programs were introduced. Sold Teletrade to GMAI (now Escala, ESCL) in October, 1998. Now part of Spectrum Group International (SPGZ).
