Led 100's of engineers on three continents. Enabled several new product initiatives, including Google Maps in cars, significant improvements in image quality (e.g. cloud free), Google's SaaS maps platform, and the re-birth of MyMaps as GME Lite, as well as significant revenue increase. Also have grown a strong team of senior leads, with wide support from many new managers and Tech Leads. 2010 Android Market - Engineering Lead Android Market (now called "Play") is where Android users acquire their apps. Expanded to ~26 additional countries 2007-2010 YouTube, Engineering Lead YouTube is the third biggest Web site in the world, serving (in 2010) 2B videos a day and receiving 24h of new uploads every minute. Led 100's of engineers on three continents. Leading various areas from video processing to new initiatives like YouTube Rentals or the YouTube TV experience. Responsible and accountable for all engineering development and operation of the site, including user facing, partner facing, and advertiser facing aspects of the site, APIs for mobile and other devices, ContentID, and all backend/infrastructure work. 2004-2007 Checkout, Engineering Lead, co-founder Checkout (now called Google Pay) is Google's global consumer payment product. I co-founded the effort and lead all engineering development and operations, including Web front ends for users and merchants, APIs for merchant integration, and the backend/infrastructure to run a global payment system. Close interaction with other execs in Finance, Sales, etc. 2003-2005 Enterprise (Search Appliance) - Engineering Lead The Google Search Appliance delivers Google search in a box for the Intranet. I lead all engineering, including software development, hardware and mechanical engineering.
