World’s First High Throughput Blockchain Platform Implementing Adaptive State Sharding and Secure Proof of Stake. The advent of secure public blockchains through Bitcoin and later Ethereum, has brought forth a notable degree of interest and capital influx, providing the premise for a global wave of permissionless innovation. Yet despite lofty promises, creating a decentralized, secure and scalable public blockchain has proved to be a strenuous task. Hence we present Elrond, a novel architecture which goes beyond the state of the art by introducing a genuine state sharding scheme for practical scalability, eliminating energy and computational waste while ensuring distributed fairness through a Secure Proof of Stake (SPoS) consensus. Having a strong focus on security, Elrond’s network ensures mathematically verifiable resistance to known security problems like Sybil attack, Rogue-key attack, Nothing at Stake attack and others. In an ecosystem that strives for interconnectivity, our solution for smart contracts offers an EVM compliant engine to ensure interoperability by design. Preliminary simulations show that Elrond exceeds Visa’s average throughput and achieves an improvement of three orders of magnitude or 1000x compared to the existing viable approaches, while drastically reducing the costs of bootstrapping and storage to ensure long term sustainability. TypingDNA (Techstars NYC'18 Company) is offering typing biometrics solutions for securing devices and web applications such as LMS (Learning Management Systems), PSP (Payment Service Providers), corporate apps, and consumer apps that want to reduce fraud and improve security by using multi-factor authentication. Apps can now use TypingDNA to enable passive two-factor authentication whenever 2FA is required. This translates in happier users and negative churn. In 2019, TypingDNA has raised $1.5M in seed round funding from European venture firm GapMinder Venture Partners, as well as several international investors from U.S., U.K., and European Union. In 2020, TypingDNA raised $7 million, including Google, to authenticate people based on their typing style. Gradient Ventures, which is Google’s nearly three-year-old, AI-focused venture group, led the round; it was joined by the company’s previous backers, including Techstars Ventures and GapMinder Venture Partners, a venture outfit based in Amsterdam.

After my initial investment, they managed to raise in 2016 a 1 million € B-round from 3TS Capital Partners and Gecad Group. In 2019, Norwegian software group Visma, with a market value estimated at EUR 8 billion, has bought 50% of Romanian online invoicing services provider SmartBill.
