I was part of the team from that created the US GAAP Taxonomy on contract with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. • Identified and created hundreds of new taxonomy labels, which included documentation, definitions, references, and properties. • Lead consultant responsible for Extractive Industries (Oil, Gas, Mining) Disclosure taxonomy • Worked on dozens of other disclosures. • Final US GAAP taxonomy contained over 14,000 reporting elements. • Project required ability to understand and interpret entire FASB and SEC financial disclosure requirements.

Consultant – ModelWare Business Unit, Institutional Securities • Developed financial analysis content for ModelWare, Morgan Stanley's proprietary system for helping investors and analysts uncover value. • Wrote definitions for over 2,000 metrics to be used in financial services product targeted at equity/credit research analysts and institutional investors. • Project required ability to understand and interpret Morgan Stanley unique valuation models along with extensive knowledge of financial statement items, usage, and meanings. • Reported to Campbell Pryde, who is currently Chief Executive Officer at XBRL US.
