Prepared technology platform and team for Sarbanes Oxley and PCI level II compliance. Created a data persistence layer, logging, queue management and job scheduling infrastructure as well as a workflow engine using an open source rules engine. Taught classes on the use of the framework as well as object oriented programming. Product Animations Rebuilt software environment from unstructured source dump for a Java3D application. Created build process using Ant. Created installer using Nullsoft Installer. Added features to system such as Text-to-Speech based voice prompts. Videosave.net Acted as Project Manager with 3 subcontractors in managing the clients development and maintenance needs Improved video capture server software by moving video capture and compression code from Java to C++ and interfacing it with the original Java code through JNI Rewrote capture software to produce MPEG-4 video instead of MJPEG

    Created framework for UI Web Development for ease of creating user interfaces by offshore developers. Developed Application Access Control framework. Developed Web Based Rule editor for a custom ILOG JRules implementation. Team Lead of a 3 person team on a Windows smart client. The application is written in VB.NET, C# and C++/COM. It utilizes Web Services to communicate with the server. The application includes functionality to manipulate images, view downloaded documents and perform reinspections. It is installed using Installshield Developed a B2B application for communication between insurance companies and repair dispatchers. The application is based on the J2EE platform and uses JSP, Java Beans and the Struts Framework and runs on the Weblogic Application Server. Acted as Development Lead on the project. Developed Registration Application using JSP and the Struts framework running on Weblogic. Developed the architecture for a tree based Struts applications using UML. The application allows the customer service team to rapidly register new customers by automating the creation of LDAP accounts and setting up of roles and permissions for each user. Acted as Development Lead on the project. Lead the upgrade effort from BEA Portal version 3.2 to version 7.0 and then to version 8.1, working extensively with an offshore development team Introduced the development organization to navigation maps as a documentation tool for web based applications.

    Developed software for a Wireless Application Server. Designed application API using UML in Rational Rose. The API interacted with an XML parser to create dynamic applications. Modeled and then implemented a multi-modal news application utilizing voice recognition and text-to-speech to provide a rich multimedia experience on a wireless device. The software was designed with UML, coded in C++ and built for both Windows 2000 and Solaris. News content was pulled in from sources using Unix shell scripts. Supported user acceptance test of the software at major Spanish cellular carrier.
