Originally launched as a website in 2015, Autopsy is the most viewed website covering data from failed tech companies. Autopsy has the largest data-set on business failure globally with over 2000 company submissions (and growing). Fast forward to today, Autopsy is a data company that focuses on collecting information of firms which have failed. While there are many companies that have focused on collecting data of successful firms, the resulting survivor bias creates fundamental problems for any resultant findings. We seek to overcome this by also collecting information of firms which have failed. Viral effect online with over 100,000 page views in the first four days of inception, with over 16,000 email subscribers, a tweet mention by Marc Andreessen and ridiculous press coverage: ● #1 on Hacker News - Friday 5th June 2015 ● #1 on Product Hunt - Sunday 7th June 2015 ● This new site keeps track of failed startups and why they flopped (Business Insider) ● Autopsy.io is the anti-Product Hunt: A graveyard of startup failures (TheNextWeb) ● 76 Powerful Lessons from Failed Startups (Tech.co) ● Small Business Must Reads (Wall Street Journal) ● Postmortems for Startup Failures (Bloomberg View) Learn more: https://getautopsy.com/
