Led communications at Tusk Venture Partners, the first venture capital firm focused on investing in startups operating in highly regulated industries. I was a founding member of the team and led the team focused on helping portfolio companies execute against regulatory risks by providing regulatory, political and communications support. My role was to work with our portfolio companies across a variety of industries – telehealth, fintech, transportation, cannabis, insurtech, gaming – not just to build brand awareness, but to aggressively use earned media to reach specific regulatory outcomes.
