Logistic Partner - Procolombia
2015 - 2015
Our work was to contact speakers, trainers, organize tours, organize a conference, and register some attendees for the B2B sessions of the Colombia ICT Matchmaking Forum at Metro Toronto Convention Centre - Oct 28-29, 2015 As result, we implemented a different event for Procolombia, the training sessions on Oct 28 provided insights about the tech ecosystem in Canada, how to do business and marketing from a Canadian perspective. The ecosystem tours gave access to the Colombian companies to meet and interact with innovation centres, hubs and companies developing new technologies in different areas including video gaming and animation. The very first pitching session for Procolombia allowed to 10 Colombian startups to get a training session with a super coach and perform a good first pitching session for most of the startups participating this year. We provided a high level conference on Oct 29, with the participation of City of Toronto, the IT department of Scotiabank, investors and journalist. Finally we contributed with some companies for the B2B sessions, the major part of the Canadian companies came from Procolombia's sources. $12M in business and more than 500 appointments were performed during the Matchmaking session.

At Terra I worked supporting the business development department by preparing proposals (Canada & Latin America), preparing and attending trade-shows (Colombia), doing marketing research (Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador), preparing and attending introduction meetings with potential clients (Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador) and administrating contracts, preparing bonds for proposals and contracts, invoicing clients and following-up post-sales. Additionally, I’ve been working managing directly the shipping department, exporting and importing our LiDAR system in different countries such as Colombia, Peru, Guatemala, Argentina, Chile and USA. My contribution to Terra helped to manage large contracts as Autopista La Montana with ISA in 2010, and other contracts in Peru and Guatemala. I published some articles about LiDAR in cooperation with some of our co-workers at Terra.
