Betaworks engages in two core activities: building/deploying web services using our in-house product team and seed investing to create a network of companies benefiting our owned and operated properties. Betaworks has built products such as bit.ly, Chartbeat, Dots, Giphy, Poncho, and Tweetdeck and has invested in Anchor, Crowdtangle, IFTTT, Medium, Product Hunt, Tumblr, Twitter, URX, Venmo, among others. While at betaworks, I also launched our camp business: thematically-driven pre-seed/seed stage investment programs in which betaworks ventures invests in promising early-stage companies while leveraging the infrastructure of the betaworks studio to accelerate company growth. Examples include botcamp, voicecamp, and visioncamp.
