R&D Engineer
2016 - 2017
I joined Wallaby Medical as the 7th employee and as a part of the core engineering team. While here, I helped develop a patented neurovascular coil system for the treatment of brain aneurysms in an international startup environment. Recently, the device received the CE Mark approval and FDA 510(k) clearance. My roles included, but weren’t limited to: managing the design of implant delivery system based on key opinion leader feedback, creating and implementing quality, test, and manufacturing protocols in accordance to ISO 13485 and good manufacturing procedures, and training and managing a team of six technicians in protocol and device development.
2015 - 2016
R&D Engineer
2015 - 2016
I began my career as an intern with Medtronic on their neurovascular R&D team. During my internship, I developed a modeling tool to reduce the need for benchtop testing of early design iterations by predicting principal strains and stresses of 3D solid models. This project led to a full time position with the R&D team where I worked with senior team members on the design of a flow-diverting neurovascular stent for the treatment of wide-neck aneurysms. My responsibilities included: development of test and manufacturing protocols, transfer of product to the main manufacturing floor, and design verification testing.
