  • Director at SEP & partner of ECF

    2014 - 2019

The Environmental Capital Fund (ECF) was a £135 million infrastructure fund established by SEP in 2014 to invest in UK-based clean energy and sustainability assets. The fund was backed by SSE plc, the FTSE 100 energy company, as well as a syndicate of financial investors led by Lexington Partners, the world's largest independent manager of secondary private equity and co-investment funds. ECF fund was fully realised within the Fund's 5 year planned life and achieved upper top quartile returns for investors. The fund owned a gas (IGT) pipelines business named Indigo Pipelines, over 66 wind turbines, a DH network and targeted UK and Ireland based clean energy infrastructure projects and companies. My role was primarily the origination and execution of new investments along with fund management for ECF. I was a Key Man for the fund and a member of the ECF investment committee. SEP has been building businesses for over 20 years, enabling founder led teams to achieve their ambitions. SEP has been a supportive investor to more than 160 companies, including some of Europe’s most successful such as Skyscanner, MatchesFashion and Anesco.
