Work Experience

  • Founder/CEO

    2009

Over 2 Billion mobile ads were served monthly through our mobile platform before it was acquired by Google (AdMob)--And then quickly grew to 30 Billion mobile ads per month. Now at Kappboom, over 100 million users have downloaded our mobile apps and games. Our servers handle over 12 Billion requests each month.

  • AdWhirl

    2009 - 2010

Raised $1M in funding. Cofounder and Co-President. AdWhirl assets acquired and open sourced by AdMob in August, followed by $750M stock acquisition by Google in November. AdWhirl was created to solve low mobile ad fill rate problems for my own mobile apps. During AdWhirl's creation, I rejected discussions with Zynga to acquire my mobile applications along with AdWhirl, and kept AdWhirl independent with my cofounder. Later, AdWhirl's growth became phenomenal, growing from 100K monthly ad impressions to 200M in just a few months. This was quickly followed up with a ~$1M seed round from Foundation Capital, and was closed off before KPCB and Sequoia Capital could participate in the round. After acquisition and at AdMob, we ran 2 Billion monthly impressions. Now, in Google's hands, AdWhirl runs close to 30 Billion monthly impressions and is the de-facto mobile advertising mediation layer in the world.
