Built the internal data platform “Argus” that informed FB’s growth early on and to this day. Worked cross-functionally and with partners to ensure quality releases of a variety of platform products at annual f8 conferences. Routinely fixed difficult bugs across the FB ecosystem including in news feed, ads, events, etc, often involving time zone issues, internal vs. platform interaction, or UI/UX. Projects included: User Growth (new user experience optimization, e.g. add-a-friend dialog instead of a page, disabled ads for new users --> better long-term user retention and revenue) FB Japan Growth: on-site in Tokyo, found millions of users in the seat cushions, basically :) Social Plugins (e.g. improvements to Like button, Comments plugin) Groups - initial launch Graph API - initial launch Internal Analytics Tools (still used widely!) External Analytics Tools (FB Insights, Analytics for Apps) Partner Engineering (worked with Spotify, Ford, Microsoft, etc.)
