Work Experience

  • General Partner

    2021

At Outsized Ventures we partner with founders pushing the boundaries of science and technology to solve the world’s greatest challenges. Some call it deep tech, others frontier tech, tough tech, hard tech or high tech - for us, it is simply the future.

  • Fellow

    2019

I'm also de co-chair for the European Chapter - which basically means I'm a part-time party promoter.

  • Hype man / Angel investor

    2014

Trying to help extraordinary people doing extraordinary things. Mostly those trying to un-fuck the planet.

2017 - 2021

  • Partner

    2017 - 2021

Met around 2400 founders trying to solve human and planetary health challenges, backed 43 of them. Learned one or two things about science, a few things about venture and a shit-ton about people. Forever grateful for the opportunity to play a tiny part in their life's journey. Spent most of my time with the teams at Hurdle, Keel Labs, Aanika Bio, BioCraft Pet Nutrition, PearBio, Biomage & Diptera.

2014 - 2015

  • Co Founder

    2014 - 2015

If you had a feature (dumb) phone in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico or Colombia in 2015 you probably saw 10 of our ads every day.

2013 - 2015

  • Co Founder

    2013 - 2015

In 2013 iPhones accounted for only 2% of Latin America's mobile phone market. We built mobile games for the underserved 98%. Hit it big with a daily fantasy league one. The company was acquired in 2014.

2011 - 2013

  • Founder

    2011 - 2013

Ads in PlayStation 3 games. We took something people loved, video games, and we ruined them with ads. We grew pretty fast but in the end it didn't work out. Who would have figured.

2008 - 2011

  • Co Founder

    2008 - 2011

A solution for a problem nobody had: shot glasses made out of ice. Expensive, impractical and pretty awesome, thousands of people drunk tequila from our glasses across Latin America.

  • Paralegal

    2005 - 2008

I once worked for 23 hours straight, went straight to school after that and aced a test. Learned a lot about law but mostly about the effects of lack of sleep.
