Short term contract between two VC roles. Evolution AI is a natural language processing startup. It helps large financial institutions process large amounts of data intelligently and efficiently. I helped the team re-position their product offering.

ADV was (acquired by Legal & General) a VC investor focused on funding generation-defining companies. Backed digital tech companies at Seed and Series A stage. I ran ADV's marketing, communications and portfolio engagement strategy; I also advised portfolio companies on their marketing/growth/comms strategy; and managed four investments (both B2B and B2C between Seed and Series B).
2014 - 2017
Marketing Lead

Tech City UK is a publicly-funded organisation with a private sector mentality. This makes what it does unique. I was part of a tight knit marketing/communications team whose aim was to boost the growth of digital businesses not only in London but around the UK. With new programmes constantly being rolled out, it was imperative that the most efficient marketing techniques were utilised in order to ensure they achieve the most positive impact. Representing such important entity showed me the pressure and scrutiny involved in working for a government body, especially within the ever evolving UK startup ecosystem.
Senior Marketing Manager
2015 - 2016
Marketing Executive
2014 - 2015
2014 - 2014

After graduating, I spent five months working as an intern with Manchester's biggest networking and events company. Oversaw the implementation of a new corporate membership model, providing large organisations with a ready-made activities and opportunities calendar for their workforce. The role required extensive market research; creating an appropriate strategy; contacting relevant individuals and aiming to locate businesses who would participate in the initial pilot of the product.
2013 - 2014
Student Marketer
2013 - 2014
Marketing roles in and around the University campus, campaigning to engage as many students as possible in a wide range of projects. Clients I worked for include: JP Morgan, Clifford Chance, K.A.U.S.T. and the Department of Education. I ran competitions, provided information and collected data from students who were interested in what each client has to offer. The job gave me experience in marketing, enhanced my communication skills and helped me develop confidence in promoting a wide range of products/initiatives.
