Now I enjoy working with Airtree in a new capacity, as Venture Partner. In this role, I help to advise and mentor Airtree's next crop of founders & CEOs across the portfolio - as they look to scale their businesses to the next level. I especially love helping founders who are dealing with scaling culture incredibly fast, and expanding their business beyond Aussie borders and across the world.

As Software Development Manager at Kiandra IT I led an extremely talented group of 30 developers, architects and user experience designers, to create world-class, robust software applications. I managed the technical team and also took on key account management roles with important clients to ensure that the software delivered was aligned to the customer's needs. I worked very closely with the company's directors and other senior managers to ensure that the technical team's activities and priorities were aligned with the business strategic objectives. I setup software engineering processes and practices to ensure quality and repeatability, reviewed proposed technical architectures and mentored technical team leaders to help them take on large and complex technical projects.

As Software Development Lead at Kiandra IT, I led a team of extremely talented .NET developers. We delivered best-of-breed web applications for clients, with a focus on reliability, scalability and user experience.

2009 - 2010

I worked in the Enterprise Search Group of Microsoft, on the next generation of search products for Microsoft. Specifically built interaction management technologies to give users greater control over query processing. I worked mostly with C# and ASP.NET, on both client side and server side projects.

Software Design Engineer

2006 - 2008

As Software Design Engineer at Microsoft, I worked on the backup and restore team in the Storage Solutions Division. I was the developer of the Disk Defragmenter for Windows Vista SP1 & Server, and Windows 7. I also worked on Backup & Restore and System Restore across these releases.
