At Anooka we helped people suffering from Chronic Pain make lifestyle modifications to live a more fulfilling life with much less suffering from Pain. Our initial research involved application of AI human pose estimation on 2D and 3D videos for real-time exercise feedback, form detection via skeletal tracking, rep counting, ROM and computation of other measures, targeting patients with stroke and SCI. COVID changed course towards Chronic Pain. Bootstrapped startup with early support from Entrepreneur First and a Friends and Family round for Pre-seed Built a team of 6, acquired paying customers, and led product and business functions Our exergames platform is designed to deliver individualized health and movement coaching with the help of clinically validated methods. - Introduced 2-player exergames to practice new exercises remotely and a chatbot within the chatting experience, resulting in 75% of members completing 3 exercise sessions per week over 12 months For our customers we - improved their understanding of pain and brain/body with pain neuroscience education (health literacy), - helped them overcome barriers like access, affordability, social and behavioral - ensured that they stayed consistent and motivated (80% of our current members have finished 16 months with us) - Offered personalization with accommodation of common comorbidities - poor sleep, depression, anxiety, body image issues, diabetes/hypertension, weight management - helped learn exercises and movement activities via exergaming that involved being assigned to a buddy with similar health issue and shared goal of being able to perform ADLs. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ - Recognized as a NASDAQ milestone maker for work done to alleviate suffering of individuals suffering from chronic pain - Wearer of many hats: Regulations, Product, fundraising, BD & GTM, R&D

The first target groups included Joint Replacements, CABG, COPD and stroke.
