Oversee capital allocation with a mandate to accelerate the growth and diversity of the portfolio. Responsible for the investment team and origination efforts of Hercules. Directly manage all aspects of the investment process and each of the investment teams. Oversee the investment teams on the structuring, underwriting and closing of new investment opportunities across multiple areas of focus including Life Sciences, Technology, Clean Technology and LMM/Special Situations. Select highlights: - ~$905 million of commitments completed in FY 2014; a record year and a ~28% increase over FY 2013. - ~$2.2 billion of commitments completed since Q1'11. Served as Chief Credit Officer of Hercules from October 2010 through April 2014. Cumulative net realized losses on investments, since inception, through March 31, 2015, totaled ~$8.7 million, on a GAAP basis. When compared to total commitments of ~$5.2 billion over the same period, the net realized loss since inception represents ~17 basis points "bps" or 0.17% of total commitments, or an annualized loss rate of ~2 bps.

Responsible for the ongoing day to day management, monitoring and performance of a ~$1bn investment portfolio consisting of senior secured debt, preferred stock, warrants and other equity. Directly manage all aspects of work-outs and troubled credits to ensure maximum return of capital. Oversee the investment teams on the structuring, underwriting and closing of new investment opportunities across multiple areas of focus including Life Sciences, Technology, Clean Technology and LMM/Special Situations.
