Samudra was born out of a desire to inspire and support others on a journey to understanding the values of making healthy choices in our lives - physically, spiritually and energetically. Founded in 2004 by Sheridan Hammond, Samudra specialised in retreats where guests could step out of their worlds and immerse themselves in yoga, surfing and nutrition. For many guests the experience was profound and through this success, the need for a permanent space was born. This was achieved in 2007 when Laura Leaver joined Sheridan as Co-Founder and Samudra’s home location was created. Samudra has a hybrid model of online and offline stores and it had grown exponentially island-wide in Australia, before ceasing the operation.
