    I was the first data science hire + developed data and algorithms to identify and filter target Shopify merchants by estimated revenue. I also lead the design of a scalable JavaScript package to develop rich and consistent first party events data over arbitrary Shopify stores toward personalization of any even anonymous customer impression. OpenStore is now a Series B startup backed by Khosla Ventures, General Catalyst, Founders Fund, Lux Capital and Atomic.

    I managed a small team of data scientists/engineers to develop services powering Store No. 8's Shopping Automation. We applied machine learning techniques to estimate what groceries customers would need next, partnering with Engineering + Product to productize these estimates. Lead the R&D of hardware + machine learning perception services to estimate groceries remaining in a consumer refrigerator. Our team developed and patented a pressure sensor + ML prototype that sent push notifications whenever a fridge grocery item ran low.

    Consumer Edge is a preeminent consumer data solutions company with institutional investor and corporate clients that raised $60mm from Coventure Q12023. I founded and led a small data science and engineering team that launched a new consumer credit card data suite to tier 1 institutional investors with $xxM revenue. I developed a now-industry standard data privacy technique to unlock the data that protects against reverse identification patterns, while preserving data statistical properties. I also sourced and managed a designer who led the company re-branding and product architecture + marketing.

    Pypestream is a customer service platform using NLP, started just before IBM Watson won Jeopardy. I managed a small team developing a dialog framework from scratch that powers the self-service development and operation of automated customer service solutions used by the Fortune 500. Customers could build chat services that could call and take action with arbitrary third party endpoints, namely, an early (and naive) form of function calling. Responsible for prototype software development + in-house tools + QA tooling, delivering $Xmm revenue.

    Instagram audiences analytics pre IG business analytics. I developed distributed infrastructure to ingest Instagram influencer follower photo metadata of >1B photos. I used machine learning techniques to estimate follower characteristics from metadata. I met with firms like Tiffany and IMG to help them make better decisions about influencers and their value. Instagram changed API access policies blocking this access pattern.
