    ► Drives strategy and operational excellence for Canada’s largest VC investor, with a current portfolio of $5 billion+ representing 159 companies. ► Supervises a team of 21 private equity, VC and business development specialists across a broad range of sectors with impacts on every major federal program in Canada, and the creation of new funds with high growth potential in emerging markets. ► Conceptualized and launched the largest VC fund of its kind. ► Created the Community of Leaders Innovating for Corporations (CLIC) in conjunction with the Business Council of Canada: www.clic-challenge.ca ► Personally appointed by the CEO to spearhead the development of BDC’s digital transformation strategy - green-lit with an initial budget of $20 million. ► Board member for healthtech startup, BlueDot (www.bluedot.global) - Second series A round of $9.2 million CAD recently completed. ► Leads the acceleration and optimization of the Canadian Innovation ecosystem; facilitates high level collaborations and idea incubation that factor in government policies, PE/VC investment goals, and the commercialization objectives of R&D centers of excellence across Canada. ► Runs a new Thought Leadership initiative which convenes annual roundtables comprised of some of the most influential VC and PE leaders in the country.     The Global Defense Council was established to create thought leadership, drive content, and dive deeper into the issues that are currently affecting the defense sector in democratic nations. The council needs an Advisory Board that is willing to take responsibility for choosing focused content and projects, with the objective of being as effective as possible. The Global Defense Advisory Board meet once quarterly and will be looked to by our peers for thought leadership, strategic goals, and relevant content.

    The Gates Foundation is the largest private foundation in the world, with $50 billion+ in assets. ► Led a vertical and horizontal review of more than $700 million in investments in 50 countries worldwide, with a goal of providing safe contraceptives to 500 million women and girls. ► Worked extensively with global NGOs with operations in multiple developing nations to create and execute a business model that would allow local health care clinics to become revenue positive, with all profits being reinvested back into the facilities. ► Undertook the complete overhaul/transformation of Senegal’s contraceptive supply chain; built coalitions with the Senegalese government, global NGOs, Fortune 50 pharmaceutical companies, and major donor governments including the US, Britain and France. ► Worked with government leaders in Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Pakistan, DR Congo and Indonesia to establish progressive national health strategies that have now been adopted as best practice models in 30+ developing nations. ► Assisted with the creation of Family Planning 2020, a global organization dedicated to providing an additional 120 million women and girls with access to safe, effective and affordable contraceptives.
