The Global VCIC stands as the premier venture capital competition globally, attracting participation from more than 120 teams across universities and graduate schools. Unique in its approach, VCIC offers students the unparalleled experience of stepping into the role of venture capitalists for a day, while startups gain valuable insights into the fundraising landscape. The event is hosted by the University of North Carolina. Serving as a judge, TianYu offers critical feedback to students on various aspects of venture capital, including due diligence, negotiation tactics, financial analysis, and memo composition.

EduLab Capital Partners specializes as an early-stage venture capital firm, with a sole focus on the education sector. It invests in innovative business models that go beyond conventional education frameworks. Based in Boston and Tokyo, the firm's team offers critical support to entrepreneurs, aiding in expanding their customer reach, facilitating key initial hires, and securing further funding for growth that is both sustainable and profitable. During his internship, TianYu contributed support to the investment team.

Established on December 29, 1995, and with its main office located in Shanghai, the Bank of Shanghai is a publicly traded entity on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's main board. Since its inception in 1995, the Bank of Shanghai has progressively expanded its market presence. With assets under management (AUM) exceeding $300 billion USD, it holds the 73rd position among the top 1,000 banks globally. TianYu supported the due diligence and underwriting of a 1.8 billion RMB Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) deal for a well-established shopping center during his time as a summer analyst.

Financial Advisory Summer Intern

During his tenure as a M&A FAS Summer intern at Deloitte, TianYu primarily dedicated his efforts to conducting financial due diligence (FDD) for a significant $1.7 billion USD acquisition deal abroad in the energy sector. Additionally, he undertook research on the energy industry and contributed to writing sections of the industry and risk analysis within the FDD report.
