Purpose Built Schools Atlanta (PBSA), a start-up organization partnering with Atlanta Public Schools to turn around four of the district’s most challenged schools. By 2018, PBSA will operate four public schools with nearly 2500 students. As COO, I led all non-instructional areas including HR, facilities, finance, technology, procurement, and risk management.

Monitored the implementation of Diagnostic Reviews, deep dive data evaluations to undercover the root cause of underperformance in low performing schools throughout the country. Managed over a $1M is contract work with various state departments of education. Led, managed, and coordinated the planning, monitoring, and implementation of state education agency and other contract work

Managing Director of Operations

2008 - 2013

Managed the regional operations for a network of six public, charter schools in Atlanta. Served as one of the founding members of KIPP Metro Atlanta shared service office, helping to grow the network from two to eight schools. As the Managing Director of Operations, I oversaw the entire HR function, including staff recruitment, risk management, compliance and data, school nutrition, and school operations.
