    2012 - 2013

After my stint at Inference I returned to manage the OnDemand offering with well over half a million users for Atlassian and forty five staff. This included investment strategy, multi-million dollar profit and loss portfolio, investment recommendations, quarterly planning, rollout of many large operations projects and finally thought leadership of a new platform evolution. Eventually this led to self-imposed organisational redesign identifying pain points and long term success. The result was a logical end to the role and the previous team structure.

Inference was rebuilding their management team and needed an experienced leader to drive the technical vision and strategy for Inference's product roadmap including the transition to more packaged services and improve it’s financial position. Engaged in all activities for commercialising product, go to market, capital raising, investor relations and data center expansion. Setting up and creating a $3M distribution pipeline through dozens of carrier partnerships, and resellers. Broadening scope to a global business for touchtone and speech based IVR applications.

  • Product Manager (Integrations)

    2010 - 2011

Took a short sabbatical after BroadSoft’s successful IPO ((NASDAQ: BSFT) and returned to Australia. I led a four person team to turnaround previously failed attempts to successfully deliver installers for JIRA and Confluence. During this short time I also led other initiatives such as an early product management incubator that graduated JIRA Capture and Confluence Team Calendars as well as early investments in an enterprise program.

2005 - 2010

  • Director, Product Management (User Applications)

    2008 - 2010

Moved to corporate HQ in United States to lead the vision, strategy and assist in go to market for all user facing applications. This included milestones such as evolving all applications to web-based scalable applications, multi-party media server, assisted in evangelising and productising the carrier-grade API’s to build an ecosystem hundreds of third-party developers, visiting global carriers, and speaking at company events.

  • Director, Engineering (User Applications)

    2005 - 2008

Continued to evolve the acquired applications and grow the market share across hundreds’s of BroadSoft’s global carrier customers. During this time I was involved in establishing a new office that also included support and training, expanding the overall team to twenty, and the inception of a fully-fledged call center offering.

  • Co-Founder & CTO

    2000 - 2005

The first two years were a learning platform broadly focused on providing consulting and professional services development ranging from platform architecture, web development, and eventually IP telephony that led to the transformation into a product company over the next three years. Envisioned and led a team of twelve engineers to bring three unified communications products to market through dozens of telecom carriers and over half a million deployments that led to a successful acquisition by BroadSoft, a software based carrier-grade unified communications platform.
