    2000 - 2011

I spent the first six years of my career on the Dealing Desk, assuming the role of Senior Quoting Dealer, as well as Financial PR Manager. For the latter position, I would make regular appearances on the likes of CNBC, Bloomberg and Channel 4, as well as contribute frequently to articles in the FT, Times, Telegraph, Guardian etc. In 2007, I join the International Business Development Team within IG as we started our launch into Europe post MiFID. During that summer, we launched simultaneously in France and Spain. I set up, launched and then ran the Spanish office in Madrid until December 2008. In January 2009, I became Head of Europe, where I was responsible for IG's European existing operations and launching new offices. I held this position, as well as that of Head of International Business Development, until my departure, with close to 100 staff under my control across 8 countries with combined revenue of over £60 million. IG's market capitalisation was £2 Billion at the time.
