Tasked with the: - recruitment of 20+ tutors and mentors amongst the UB Berkeley student body (harder than it sounds) - training of tutors and mentors to help each be a reliable resource to their respective tutees / mentees - day-to-day management of the tutors and mentors (much harder than it sounds) Stiles Hall is a non-profit community service organization located in Berkeley, CA, and maintains an affiliation with the University of California.

Involved with various facets of the organization ranging from local fundraisers to international design and implementation projects, as an intern at EWB-SD. Majority of my time was spent assisting on a rain water harvesting project for implementation in El Salvador. Such an endeavor required our team to design a system that would safely collect and store rain water for later consumption, all while being conscious of local peoples' customs and capabilities.

    2010 - 2011

Paired with an at-risk fourth grade student from a local Berkeley elementary school, through Stiles Hall's Mentorship program. He and I spent time together working on school assignments and homework, as well as partaking in extracurricular activities and various social outings. We remained in contact for a while following the end of the program. He was quickly becoming quite the flag football star. But unfortunately he and I lost touch after my graduation from the university.
