Senior Research Engineer

2001 - 2006

EVITA (Extensible VoIce porTAl) project • Led four person engineering team to develop multi-lingual voice UI software. Pitched the speech gateway project based on our software to Singapore 2nd largest hospital. Project signed for SGD$700k and awarded “The Enterprise Challenge Innovator’s Award” by the Singapore Prime Minister’s office • Consulted for COO and Operations Managers on project scope, technical design, implementation, and training. Project was delivered on schedule and opened to public beta-testing. Sentence Boundary Detection Research • Led three person research team to detect sentence units in speech transcripts (for semantic analysis of speech recognition results). IBM Websphere Language Integration • Delivered En-SG package for IBM Websphere Voice Server. Collaborated with IBM teams in France and Australia.
