    • Knowledge: As Head of the Knowledge team I designed curriculum here at Shikho for Grades 9-12 based on the Bangladesh National Curriculum for 8 subjects and produced over 4000 animated videos for the Science route students. The knowledge team comprises of 8 subject teams with some of the most talented individuals to ensure we produce world class animation to deliver concepts for the Science route from grades 9-12. Our primary goal was to ensure students of Bangladesh move away from rote learning and engage in content that explains concepts by connecting them with real life scenarios. As a department we also produced question banks for testing and content for live classes in our app. • Operations: As COO I managed over 250 staff at a peak of 400+ total employees at Shikho. As we built content which included ‘Smart notes’ for students we needed over 160 staff in operations. We also ran live classes which was run with the help of the production team and conducted by the operations team. Shikho continues to provide live classes today to over 20,000 students every evening with students attending from all over the country.

    Description As Head of Pastoral Care I work closely with the Secondary Principal, parents and students to create and maintain a positive school atmosphere and a healthy community by providing programming and processes that will enable students to learn in a safe and caring environment. Specific Duties Behavior: Create, manage and enforce school behavioral expectations. Oversee day-to-day disciplinary issues, working closely with staff to ensure compliance with school policies. Research, identify, plan, and implement strategies to address barriers to learning including attendance concerns, behavior issues and social adjustment. Collaborate with Secondary Principal and Director for appropriate school consequences. Compile, analyze and share student discipline data for purposes of interventions and consequences. Oversee the assignment, recording and issuing of detention assignments and follow-up meetings with students and parents where necessary. Oversee in-school suspensions, including logistics, teacher communication, supervision, assignments and follow-up meetings with students. Investigate student complaints and interview students and witnesses in disciplinary investigations. Provide and monitor progressive discipline such as behavioral session, restitution, detention, in-school suspension and out-of-school suspension. Plan and implement preventive disciplinary measures through changes in programming, behavioral plans, etc. Attendance: Plan, design, and conduct follow-through strategies to implement the school attendance program. Advise students and parents on attendance improvement. Assist the Secondary Principal in the preparation of reports related to attendance .     • Leadership and Management: Shadowing Heads of Years (which have been replaced with Head of KS3/4 in the current academic year), attended meetings with students, parents and other teachers and analysed data by year group to identify under achieving students. • CPD Delivery: Worked as a part of an EAL specialist group throughout the academic year for a year end multi-CPD workshop where we presented resources/strategies for teaching EAL students to the rest of the school. • Student Development: Started a “Skype with a professional” club where IB students skyped with professionals from various industries to help them learn about different industries to assist with their choice of undergraduate degrees.Worked with the ‘Student Council’ to implement a buddy system to assign students to new students to help them settle in school better and also develop responsibility amongst younger students. • Intervention and ECAs: Ran a Maths extended ECA for students on the extended course for Years 9, 10 and 11 and a Badminton ECA for the secondary school. Ran a specialist help club for IB Studies students after school. • Shadow Heads of KS3/4: Applied and attained a place in the ‘succession planning programme’ designed to make progress vertically within the school structure. Involves attending all CLT meetings and assisting Heads of KS3/4 with all their pastoral tasks.

    • 2014/15 GCSE Results: Target based on previous data and mocks in Sept and Dec in year 11 were 2A*s, 9As, 13Bs and 8Cs. The results achieved were 11A*s 13As and 8Bs. (This was a group I never taught before Y11) • Leadership and Management: As the year 9 lead I constantly monitor students’ progress to ensure that my colleagues within the department are held accountable for their respective year 8 students. • Organization & Planning: Plan lessons well in advance of curriculum delivery and on a regular basis to ensure the students’ needs are catered to at all times.     • Key Achievements: Attained funding (1 of 2 Mathematics Teachers out of 400+ applicants) from the Institute of Education (IOE) to be awarded a place for a GTP in Mathematics at Kingsbury High School (KHS). Recommended for Qualified Teacher Status and graded Outstanding by the IOE. • Organisation: Taught pupils across KS3, KS4 and KS5. • Research and Presentation: Carried out a research project on “Effect of worded feedback measured against numerical feedback in Maths books on progress KS3 students” with a sample of 300 students and presented the findings to a panel as a part of my portfolio.     • Completed a two month internship in Corporate Banking as a Summer Intern; worked under the direct supervision of two relationship managers. • Prepared call reports, analysis of credit reports, assisted in the execution of various transactions and attended client meetings. • Efficiently completed two projects during the internship. The first project was carrying out a survey of investors in the export processing zone in Bangladesh. The second project was to create a database where details of all existing foreign investors would be stored.
