Dryad provides ultra-early detection of wildfires as well as health and growth-monitoring of forests using solar-powered gas sensors in a large-scale IoT sensor network. Dryad aims to tackle wildfires, which are causing up to 20% of global CO2 emissions and have a devastating impact on biodiversity.

Ableton was founded in 1999 and released the first version of Live in 2001. Since then, the company has received outstanding press, numerous awards and attracted a worldwide community of dedicated musicians, composers and DJs. The company headquarters are in Berlin, with an additional office in Los Angeles. Ableton is run by its original founders and currently has about 180 employees.

The Chamber of Commerce & Industry (German: Industrie- & Handelskammer / IHK) is the central organization for all companies registered in Germany, with the exception of handicraft businesses, the free professions and farms. All these businesses are required by law to join a chamber. Thus, the IHK speaks for more than three million entrepreneurs Germany-wide. They include not only big companies but also retailers and innkeepers. It does not represent any specific corporate group but all commercial enterprises in Germany. This gives the association considerable political influence.
