• Founding team member (1 of 30 people in the Department of Defense) tasked with creating a new organization to implement the Department of Defense’s Artificial Intelligence Strategy and develop capability with academia, industry, and interagency partners • Built project plan and consensus for $20M Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief National Mission Initiative amongst Silicon Valley startups, FEMA, Air National Guard, and US Coast Guard; on track to deliver computer vision algorithms and supporting infrastructure to save lives and livelihood during hurricanes, floods, and wildfires

• Directed strategy, planning, and programming for $1.7B portfolio of Air Force Combat Search and Rescue capabilities; regularly briefed at the senior executive level to influence budget proposals to the Secretary of the Air Force and Office of the Secretary of Defense • Championed faltering proposal and obtained $130M in funding for critical military construction projects in three states • Served as subject matter expert on corporate working groups; developed roadmaps to mitigate capability gaps through cross-functional teams of industry, research institutes, universities, and think tank partners through the United States Air Force Personnel Recovery Experimentation Campaign and Hacking for Defense • Selected to position 5 years earlier than customary, ranked #1 of 19 junior officers

• Led the weapons & tactics, plans, intelligence, mobility, security cooperation, and exercise programs • Served as Director, United States Air Forces in Europe Personnel Recovery Initiative; led 33 person cross-functional team through 350% year over year growth in engagements across Europe and Africa with $850K budget – increased NATO and African partner capacity through innovative, custom built 3-stage program that was recognized as new baseline of capability across the United States Air Force • Created international personnel recovery plan; built consensus across stakeholders in 5 locations in the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany and led 78-person, 1,000-mile combined search & rescue live simulation with United States and Italian forces as proof of concept; established as plan of record for United States Air Forces in Europe • Led division through re-branding; transformed group into organization’s Team of the Year • Selected as acting Director of Operations (Chief Operating Officer): led 61 personnel & executed 200+ international operations in 60 days with unit at 50% manning • Ranked #1 of 233 junior officers and named United States Air Force Combat Rescue Officer of the Year (#1 of 126 worldwide within elite special operations community)

• Led, trained, and managed risk for 20-man special operations rescue and recovery team in preparation for worldwide contingency operations and 70+ missions in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria • Authored 5-year strategy for United States Air Force rescue forces in Turkey, Syria, and Iraq as leader of 6 person cross-functional Strategic Planning Group • Graduated #1 of 598 at 5-week leadership course, led team of 14 peers to #1 of 44 team ranking • Selected to “Think Tank” and charged with analyzing and innovating new strategies for United States Air Force Officer Career Progression and Development; co-authored 60-page report and delivered briefing to Air University Commander; recommendations implemented across the force • Awarded 2015 Air Combat Command Lance P. Sijan Award for Leadership (more than 10,000 eligible officers)

• Controller for CEO of 112-person unit with $4.3M annual budget – introduced new spending vehicle that eliminated 200 man-hours of preparation work and decreased fulfillment time from 8 to 3 weeks • Identified $2.7M in equipment shortfalls across 2 units & obtained additional funding to rectify • Authored annual spend plans to equip and train >60 operators and support personnel while meeting commander’s intent and congressional spending guidance/requirements • Ranked #1 of 21 junior officers in unit, top 5% of 438 junior officers across higher division

• Led teams ranging in size from 10-120 through 2-year special operations training pipeline with the highest attrition rate in the Department of Defense (>80%) • Qualified/certified combat diver, static line/military freefall parachutist, mountain rope rescue, avalanche rescue, swift water rescue, day/night all-weather air/ground operations
