  • Director of Recruiting Operations

    2020 - 2022

Scaled Airtable from 300 employees to over 1100 in just over two years. As the first Recruiting Ops leader, I led a team that launched new technical products to drive more efficiency, expanded recruiting programs to increase our top of funnel and supported internal growth & development across my team. When I first joined, we launched a brand new organization under my leadership, called the Experiences team. We ensured everyone in the Airtable ecosystem has a delightful and inclusive experience. From candidate to employee to our alumni, we translated our core values into experiences that created a sense of belonging throughout the entire employee lifecycle. I also drove our Future of Work efforts as we developed a sustainable and long term framework for what Airtable would look like once it became safe to be together again.

  • Diversity Program Manager

    2015 - 2017

At Airbnb, our mission to create a world where everyone can belong anywhere was our #1 priority in 2016. We committed to building a future where all people feel welcomed and respected for who they are, creating a workplace where employees of every age, race, ability/disability, religion, culture, sexual orientation and gender identity feel welcome and supported. As the very first employee focused on Diversity & Belonging, our cross-functional team was able to accomplish a lot. We launched the Airbnb Connect program for Engineering & Data Science. We hosted a number of curated dinners onsite at Airbnb and at Airbnb listings in our community for specific underrepresented minority groups, leveraging our internal resource groups for participation and evangelism. We focused a lot on creating a more objective hiring process. We added clear structure and criteria to the interview process. Provided unconscious bias training for 60% of the company. Implemented project based interviews. Removed resumes from the technical phone screens. And created a standardized rubrics for the recruiter phone screen.

2008 - 2014

  • Program Manager, People Team

    2008 - 2014

Joined Facebook around 800 employees and spent 5+ years helping the company scale its hiring to over 5,000 employees. Managed a cross-functional team in scaling our internal transfer process. Product managed the Facebook careers page in 2012 which drove 2x more traffic to our page post redesign. Project managed our company wide employee survey, which resulted in a 92% response rate (+4% from the previous year) through unique advertising & communication strategies. This was the highest response rate the company had ever seen! Owner of our Recruiting Ads presence on Facebook. Utilized our platform for lead generation (highlighting positions, departments), information distribution (university events) and general awareness (office openings). Enabled our company to achieve a #1 rating on Glassdoor’s ‘Best Place to Work’ list in 2011 & 2013 through tailored branding efforts and proper vendor management. Spent six months on the internal communications team helping them simplify their tools, channels and strategies. Consulted with a handful of departments (Finance, IT) showing them ways to improve how they distribute information to employees. Worked on Recruiting Events in order to find, attract, and recruit exceptional engineering talent.

Worked on the Background Checks team and successfully helped to create a streamline process for Google’s background checks. Followed up on discrepancies that were found during initiated checks and escalated larger issues to review with our legal team. Supported candidate experience along with initiating, completing & following up with over 2,700 US background checks.
