Turned a desire to teach life skills to my peers into a community-based, kid-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Working actively with Fort Bend Independent School District to shape the year 2020 vision for college & career readiness, engage middle school students to help them in the transition to high school, and support high school students. Leading collaborations with like-minded organizations for volunteering projects as part of LiveSmart's service-learning approach. Expanding the LiveSmart clubs in Fort Bend ISD with support from the district & student volunteers.

Recruited 40+ college students from across the US to contribute their experience & college application materials. I served as the only student representative on two committees at Fort Bend ISD: College and Career Readiness Steering Committee: The committee's charter was to develop the 2020 Vision for College and Career Readiness in Fort Bend ISD. Committee participants included business leaders, educators, parents, and students (myself). The vision was focused around integrating principles and practices that promoted college and career readiness into the existing curricula of Fort Bend ISD schools. Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee: The purpose of the committee was to assess the current state of Career and Technical Education in our district, and to provide recommendations for improvement. Vocational training and certifications were specific areas of focus.
