I manage a team of five incredible engineers. We work on the development and commercialization of patient-specific orthopedic devices. We utilize a range of materials and 3D printer technologies, specifically SLS, SLA, and DMP. We are intimately involved from ideation, FDA submission, through product launch. It is an exciting and challenging role, highly cross-functional with Business Development, Quality, Operations, and Manufacturing.

- Served on the strategic planning committee. - Contributed to the development of the curriculum for new concentration in engineering under the Bachelors of Science in Physics program. - Designed and taught two new courses; Intro. to Engineering and Statics. - Instructor for algebra based General Physics I and II. - Developed marketing materials and plan for recruitment of local high-school students to the university. - Contributed to grant proposal for increasing research-oriented computer skills in the U.S. Virgin Islands. - Founded and advised new section of Society of Women Engineers to empower young women to pursue careers as engineers and leaders. - Mentored undergraduate students in research and career development.

Investment Associate

- Developed workflow for management of deal pipeline. - Screened 50+ early-stage technology start-up companies, five of which resulted in investment. - Utilized scientific expertise to analyze technology, market, competition, financials, IP, management team, and key risks; made recommendations to the managing partners. - Managed investment portfolio consisting of four early-stage start-ups. Stayed connected with CEO/Founder, tracked progress, wrote quarterly reports, and re-evaluated for upcoming funding rounds. - Developed the framework for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices and reporting for UN Principles for Responsible Investment. - Managed company website.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Lewis Lab

•Mentored seven junior members of the lab. •Led research projects: developed technology, designed experiments, coordinated with key stakeholders, collected and analyzed data, presented results, wrote technical reports. •Led recruitment efforts: wrote job postings, contacting appropriate department leaders at top universities, screened 50+ candidates for hire. Efforts resulted in seven successful hires.
