Volunteer

I volunteered as part of the Emergency Design Network making scrubs for NHS workers during the COVID 19 pandemic. I manufacture high quality scrubs that would be durable and hard wearing. This experience made me value the importance of creative thinking in times of crisis, and how the fashion industry must adopt socially minded business strategies to overcome adversity

I worked as a Design Assistant Intern within Ladieswear LOGG at the H&M head office in Stockholm. I worked within both woven & knitwear. My responsibilities included: - Developing and updating product technical packs - Conducting in-depth trend analysis and understanding the needs/desires of the LOGG customer - Creating CAD technical drawings - Assisting with garment fittings - Liaising with buyers throughout planning upcoming seasons - Communicating successfully & efficiently within a dynamic, fast-paced team environment

British Library X NABIL NAYAL Competition - Finalist

I was selected as a finalist for the British Library X NABIL NAYAL competition in partnership with the British Fashion Council. I utilised the library's extensive resources and presented my work in front of a panel of judges and industry professionals.

I completed a summer internship placement at boutique accessories label, HANSKA. As well as assisting with the design process, I learnt invaluable lessons about the runnings of a successful fashion business including marketing, publicity and sales. I undertook a variety of tasks including: - pattern cutting and bag production - assisting in product shoots - creatively designing innovate techniques to best display products - photograph selection and catalogue development for Spring/Summer 19 - photograph editing - hand and machine sewing

Mackintosh Outerwear for Industry Competition - Winner

I designed a six outfit collection inspired by the Mackintosh brand, their unique fabric and construction techniques. I presented my coat design to the production director at Mackintosh and I was selected as a winner of the competition. My coat was fully manufactured in the Mackintosh factory using their innovative fabric.

Michael Kors Accessory Competition - Runner Up

2018 - 2018

I designed a three piece accessory collection and manufactured a bag fully in leather. Exploring multifunctional design concepts, whilst working within the MK brand ethos. My bag was judged by an MK panel in New York and I placed within the top three entries of the competition.

ASOS Future Talent Design Competition - Shortlisted
