I co-founded Tripadvisor in 2000 with 3 amazing co-founders, with the mission to help travelers around the world plan and book the perfect trip. Since then, Tripadvisor has grown into the largest travel site in the world, offering over a billion reviews and opinions to help guide travelers in 22 languages all around the world. Tripadvisor was acquired by IAC in 2004, folded into Expedia, Inc in 2005, and then spun out to be an independent public company (Nasdaq: TRIP) in 2011. Tripadvisor acquired over two dozen companies between 2005 and 2022, including leading brands such as Viator, TheFork, and CruiseCritic.
