Co-founder and employee #1 of one of the fastest growing companies ever - within our first four years, one in three people on the Internet had played a Zynga game. Created and managed the team that processed all payments and virtual currency purchases for all game studios, through multiple payment processors, with real-time machine learning fraud detection, 100% uptime, PCI security, multiple currencies, and a higher transaction rate than Paypal. In a variety of technical and management roles I wrote games, wrangled databases, instituted security policies, designed and scaled analytics and infrastructure services, and helped different groups work together as the company grew and evolved. Co-inventor on "The Virtual Currency” patent and sole inventor on patent for personal ad targeting. [IPO, 12/2011]

Kontiki provides peer-to-peer video delivery with high security, DRM, and bandwidth management. Architected Kontiki's metadata strategy and implemented a metadata server, a high-performance transactional triple-store implemented in 50,000 lines of python and C code, which had only 2 bugs found in its first 6 months of production use by millions of users. Implemented a cross-platform streaming video player as a browser plugin. Transitioned from engineering to sales to manage the Professional Services team, and played critical roles in closing several multi-million dollar projects by providing project management, integration and deployment planning, security reviews, training, and technical coordination between customers and our engineering team. Earned the nickname "MacGyver" for rapid and creative solutions to customer problems. [Acquired by Verisign, 3/2006]
