I invest in early stage entrepreneurs, nonprofit founders and political leaders who are working to make our world better and more inclusive. I've spent most of my career building high-growth technology companies. What do startups like Gusto, Nav, Petal, Mejuri + nonprofits like Paid Leave US, All We Can Save, Carbon 180 + political upstarts like Arena, Lina Hidalgo, Pete For America all have in common? Our team was there from the beginning, helping these change makers to break through with funding, advice and hands-on support when few others knew of them. We fund fast and often, get as involved as our founders want us to be in operating or board roles, and help our teams scale while staying anchored in their missions and core values. We've done this for over 70 companies, 20 nonprofits, and dozens of political organizations and candidates in just 7 years. And we're just getting started.

2016 - 2022

  • Co-Founder & Board Chair

    2016 - 2022

The Arena activates the next generation of civic leaders. We make democracy accessible for thousands of newcomers. We've trained thousands of new leaders to enter the world of campaigns and advocacy, a majority of whom are women and/or people of color.

2019 - 2020

  • National Investment Chair

    2019 - 2020

I helped raise >$100M and build a national campaign for the then-37 year old mayor of South Bend Indiana in the 2019-2020 Presidential campaign cycle. Pete Buttigieg went from a relatively unknown candidate to winning the Iowa Caucus in February 2020.
