Started Streem to build a media-focused cloud storage product, allowing users to stream unlimited data without traditional desktop sync products. Accepted into Y Combinator (Summer 2012), and raised $875,000 in seed funding from VCs and angel investors. Launched a cross-platform cloud storage product, growing to 60,000 users in just a few weeks. Built a native kernel-mode driver for desktops that intercepted all filesystem calls allowing us to stream the data bits directly from Streem's servers to the OS. Optimized video access by building an on-demand adaptive bitrate video transcoding system with backward compatibility to HLS.
