Yahoo! uses its cloud computing infrastructure to power nearly all of its consumer and advertiser experiences. Yahoo!’s private cloud of 400k+ machines store, analyze and process 200+ petabytes of data and content, captures 100Bn+ daily events, delivers it in a reliable and scalable way, making it accessible to users around the world on a variety of platforms and devices. Yahoo!’s cloud technology stack encompasses edge caching, content distribution networks, automated cloud serving infrastructure, multiple serving containers, massive scale data processing and ETL, data warehousing with Hadoop and multiple types of structured and unstructured data stores that form the backbone of data at Yahoo!.
