  • Semiotic Analyst

    2013 - 2013

A freelance semiotic project concerned with global branding and positioning of Strongbow – a cider by a major international brewer, Heineken. The client was interested in learning what the concept of 'Living in the Moment' means for people in different cultures, and chose to seek inspiration in a crowd-sourcing contest hosted on eYeka’s co-creation community platform. I analyzed and interpreted the entries from all around the world, and categorized/coded them in a semiotic fashion. Based on cultural analysis and academic reading, I created a deeper, richer critical understanding of the proposed concept - one that would feed into the new branding strategy. My proposal of winning entries was reviewed and accepted, and the winners awarded by the client.
