Whil was one of the first pioneers in digital mindfulness and wellbeing training. Working with some of the top trainers in the world, the team produced guided content designed to help employees reduce stress, increase resiliency, and improve performance with programs based in science, mindfulness, and positive psychology. As the first employee at Whil, Katelin built the People & Culture function from the foundation up and hired on the first generation of Whildebeests. In less than 6 months, they brought a company to life and a product to market. Whil was later acquired.

2011 - 2015

  • Head of People & Culture

    2011 - 2015

Employee #21 at Klout, Katelin built and developed all People & Culture functions as a partner on the Executive Team: from foundational HR frameworks (HRIS, policy administration, compensation & benefits) to pioneering employee engagement philosophies and cultural structure. Managing a fast growing team from infancy through acquisition, Katelin was (and continues to be) a passionate employee advocate and a fierce protector of Klout’s notorious culture. Klout is regularly listed amongst the best places to work, with a team of talented and thoughtful employees. A firm believer in data-driven HR strategy, new initiatives are always rooted firmly in maximizing impact and reducing friction to ensure the company is well positioned to achieve its goals. The acquisition of Klout in early 2014 by Lithium Technologies proved that these strategic initiatives were effective, as “talent and culture” were listed as primary assets in the purchase. • Script Supervisor / Story Coordinator / Director's Assistant

    2006 - 2011

Script Supervisor Supervised all feature film recording sessions worldwide; including script preparation, orchestration of all recording studio technicians and their teams, and engaging voice talent. Managed the script and its every iteration, working with the Director, writer(s), and story artists to maintain a script and revision schedule. Traveled alongside Directors and Producers to all voice sessions. Story Coordinator Prepared, maintained, and distributed artwork and storyboards as per the Director, John Lasseter, to appropriate departments for continuity and clarity of story changes. Created and maintained master files (digital and original artwork) for archival purposes, developed and enforced production schedules, and extensive note taking in Director reviews. Managed Pixarian relations to achieve a better dynamic across the production organization. Most importantly, however, was keeping the Story team happy and sane by any means necessary (including, but not limited to: bad jokes, questionable doodles, and homemade baked goods). Director's Assistant Executive support level assistance provided for the Executive Leadership Team, Post Production. Acted as primary liaison to both internal and external contacts, maintaining high level of discretion. Worked closely with a network of Management and Director Assistants to execute flawless events including executive leadership off-sites, team building events, feature film screenings, and film award events (see: Oscars, Eddies, etc).
